A beautiful and fully hand-painted Russian icon depicting Saints Simeon, Gurii, and Juliana standing in prayer beneath Christ Pantocrator, who appears above blessing the faithful. Such multi-saint compositions were often commissioned for personal devotion, reflecting the patron saints of a family or individual. Executed in traditional egg tempera on a wooden panel with a richly decorated gilded background, the icon displays the distinctive characteristics of provincial Russian icon painting from the transition between the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The elegant floral borders, geometric ornamentation, and finely rendered haloes create a striking visual balance while preserving the sacred atmosphere of Orthodox devotional art. The warm color palette, hand-painted inscriptions, and decorative punched gold ground give the icon both spiritual depth and strong decorative appeal. Surviving examples of this quality and originality continue to attract collectors of Russian religious art and early Orthodox iconography. Condition: Good antique condition consistent with age. Areas of wear and losses are visible within the gilded background, together with minor abrasions and surface aging. The figures remain well preserved, retaining their original hand-painted character and devotional presence.
