A finely painted Russian icon depicting three venerable monastic saints standing in solemn prayer beneath a medallion of Christ blessing from above. The elongated figures, dark monastic garments, and restrained yet expressive faces reflect the traditional Russian devotional style of the late 1800s. The gilded background is richly decorated with engraved and punch-worked ornamentation, framed by a geometric border with polychrome accents — a characteristic decorative treatment seen in provincial Russian workshops of the period. The composition conveys spiritual austerity and harmony, emphasizing ascetic virtue and intercessory presence. The icon is executed in egg tempera on wood panel with traditional gesso preparation.
