A charming small antique Russian icon depicting the Nativity of Christ, one of the most sacred and celebrated events in Christian tradition. The composition portrays the newborn Christ Child resting beside the Mother of God, with Saint Joseph positioned nearby and the Three Wise Men approaching in reverence, presenting their offerings to the Holy Infant. The figures are arranged within a traditional architectural setting, creating an intimate devotional scene filled with spiritual significance. Despite its small format, the icon captures the solemn beauty of the Nativity through its expressive figures, delicate gestures, and carefully arranged biblical narrative. Hand-painted in the traditional Russian iconographic manner, the icon displays a warm palette of golden ochre, deep brown, muted red, and earthy green.
