A remarkable Orthodox icon depicting The Last Supper, one of Christianity’s most sacred and recognizable scenes. Christ is shown at the center surrounded by His Apostles, while God the Father appears above, blessing the sacred gathering from the heavenly realm. Executed in traditional hand-painted technique on wood, with richly detailed figures, extensive ornamental borders and luminous gold-toned decoration. The elaborate floral frame and strong architectural composition give this icon an especially impressive presence. Showing visible age-related wear, craquelure, surface losses and areas of historical restoration, all consistent with its history and character.
