Christ is shown blessing with His right hand while holding the Gospel in His left, symbolizing His role as Teacher and Judge of the world. The traditional inscription "IC XC" appears above His halo. The composition reflects classical Orthodox iconography, with a luminous gilded background representing heavenly light. The rays emanating from Christ emphasize His divine authority and eternal presence. Executed in tempera on wood, the icon displays characteristic 19th century Russian craftsmanship, with expressive facial features and harmonious color contrasts between the deep blue garments and warm golden ground.
